MCLEAN, Va. – Every time a Hilton hotel opens their doors to their guests, they’re also opening doors to their communities and destinations. While working to create a great stay for travelers around the world, Hilton team members are also working to advance responsible travel, support growth opportunities and remain good stewards of the destinations they call home.
Guided by Hilton’s global Travel with Purpose strategy, each property across Hilton’s global portfolio aims to make positive environmental, social and economic impact. From committing thousands of volunteer hours to operating with 100 percent renewable energy, these Hilton properties are among dozens of hotels around the world who have been recognized by Hilton as part of their inaugural Travel with Purpose awards for their efforts to create opportunity for their people, a sustainable stay for their guests and a positive force in their communities:
Hilton Jiuzhaigou Resort – Jiuzhaigou County, Sichuan, China

Nestled within a UNESCO World Heritage site, Hilton Jiuzhaigou Resort draws guests seeking immersive stays surrounded by dramatic natural landscapes, cultural significance, and the rare opportunity to experience one of China’s most pristine destinations. The resort works to reduce its environmental impact by operating via clean energy solutions while investing in the economic independence of local residents. The property’s operations generate zero carbon emissions thanks to an investment in a hot water boiler retrofit, eliminating 880 cubic meters of daily natural gas consumption and generating RMB 1.4 million (approximately $200,000 USD) in annualized cost savings. The resort’s “Xi Ai Home” initiative empowers more than 120 local community members with disabilities, supporting over RMB 200,000 (nearly $30,000) in handicraft sales. By integrating sustainability efforts with premium service, the resort helps protect the critical ecosystem and cultural heritage of the Jiuzhaigou Valley.
Conrad Algarve – Quinta do Lago, Portugal

Guests are drawn to Conrad Algarve for its refined and elevated guest experience; underpinning that experience is a commitment to creating a more responsible stay for guests. The property’s ongoing efforts to reduce single‑use plastics across key guest touchpoints and reduce food waste across the hotel support more sustainable stays while maintaining the quality and comfort guests expect. Beyond the resort, Conrad Algarve’s commitment extends into the community through immersive career day, and meaningful school partnerships supporting students exploring future career paths alongside experienced hospitality mentors.
Susona Bodrum, LXR Hotels & Resorts – Bodrum, Türkiye

Susona Bodrum, which offers a luxury experience for guests looking for a unique stay by the Aegean sea, operates off 100 percent renewable energy and leverages solar energy to power and heat hot water throughout the property. The property is one of the only hotels in Hilton’s portfolio which meets its entire water demand by sourcing from a seawater reverse osmosis desalination plant while using reclaimed water for all landscape irrigation. In addition to being recognized by Hilton, the property holds several independent sustainability certifications, including Zero Waste, Green Star and Blue Flag, among others.
The Harpeth Franklin Downtown, Curio Collection by Hilton – Franklin, Tennessee, United States

When guests check into The Harpeth Franklin Downtown, Curio Collection by Hilton, they step into a refined, locally rooted experience that blends Southern charm, walkable downtown access and thoughtfully curated hospitality. What they might not recognize are the practices the hotel team is implementing to promote a more sustainable stay behind the scenes. The property eliminates single-use plastics, provides water refill stations on every floor to reduce bottle use, and operates with 100% LED lighting while further advancing sustainability through EV charging, food donation and composting programs.
