In my opinion, the airline card should be based on two factors.

1. Which airline has a hub closes to home. Hubs generally has a good amount of flights, direct or with less connections

2. Which airline has the strongest alliance (see article here > https://rewardmilesandpoints.com/understanding-airline-alliances/ ), a good alliance is KEY, when using awards, since it provides more opportunities for low point options
